Deep Fried Oreos

There's something about deep fried Oreos that just makes them so irresistible. The combination of the crispy cookie exterior and the soft, creamy filling is just too good to resist. And when they're covered in a sweet, chocolatey sauce? Forget it!

If you've never had a deep fried Oreo before, you're in for a treat. These things are seriously addicting, and once you start eating them, it's hard to stop. So what exactly is the appeal of deep fried Oreos and deep fried Twinkies? Well, we think it has something to do with the fact that they're basically an upgrade on the classic Oreo cookies that we all know and love.

With a little bit of creativity, you can top your Oreos and Twinkies with all sorts of things. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Add a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce on top.
  • Sprinkle on some chopped nuts, sprinkles, or even crushed candy canes.
  • Top with a scoop of ice cream and another drizzle of sauce.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry on top.
  • Get really creative and make your own unique toppings combination!

Other Toppings To Try For Deep-Fried Desserts

  1. Vanilla Topping - Goes perfectly with deep-fried Oreos! In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter on medium speed until smooth. Add confectioners' sugar, and mix on low speed until combined. Mix in vanilla and milk. Increase speed to medium, and beat frosting until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. To make a chocolate variation, add 1/2 cup cocoa powder along with the confectioners' sugar. For a coffee variation, add 1 tablespoon of instant coffee powder along with the confectioners' sugar.
  1. Chocolate Ganache - Chocolate ganache is a simple yet elegant way to decorate your deep-fried Twinkies. It can be made with either dark, milk, or white chocolate and can be flavored with anything from liqueurs to spices. The key to making a perfect chocolate ganache is to use high-quality chocolate and to heat the cream until it is just hot enough to melt the chocolate without scorching it.
  1. Marshmallow Fluff - Fill the piping bag with the Marshmallow Fluff and cut off the end of the bag to create a small opening. Using the small round tip, pipe out the Marshmallow Fluff onto the top of the Oreos in a spiral pattern, starting from the center and working your way outwards. Use a spatula to spread out the Marshmallow Fluff evenly over the top of the deep-fried Oreos. Use a knife to create swirl patterns on top of the Oreos for decoration. Place the Oreos in the fridge for 30 minutes to allow the Marshmallow Fluff to set. Serve and enjoy!
  1. Nutella - In a large bowl, whisk together the Nutella, cream, vanilla extract, and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts. Spread the frosting over the top of the deep-fried Twinkies. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  1. Whipped Cream - In a large bowl, combine whipping cream, confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the top of the Twinkies. Use a spatula to create swirls or other designs. Serve immediately.
  1. Cherry Pie Filling - You can use a piping bag to pipe the cherry pie filling onto the Twinkies. You can also use a spoon to spread the cherry pie filling over the top of the deep fried Twinkies. If you want to get creative, you can use a knife to create swirls or designs in the cherry pie filling.
  1. Raspberry Jam - Heat the raspberry jam in a small saucepan over low heat until it is melted and smooth. Place the raspberry jam into the pastry bag fitted with the star tip. Pipe the raspberry jam around the edge of the deep fried Oreos. Serve and enjoy!
