Here's a sweet snack that is crunchy on the outside but soft and delicious inside. Each deep fried Oreo has an OREO flavored center covered with cream, while the outside is lightly coated in sugar (or how about cinnamon?). You can indulge by eating one baked or deep-fried cookie at a time, only to find more of these delicacies hidden inside! You know you want to try this recipe. It's deep fried Oreos, dipped in chocolate and whipped cream, then sprinkled with powdered sugar. You can't go wrong with that! I'm not sure what it says about me but I really wanted to try these out because they look so good. Let me know how you like them if you make them at home!

This post is all about the deep fried Oreo recipe. If you've never heard of it before, here are some details on the ingredients, instructions for making it and my personal opinion on this sweet treat after trying it myself.

Deep fried Oreos are the best dessert ever. They taste just like a creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookie, but with crispy fried outer crust. The recipe is easy to make and only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish! I'll show you how:

Ingredients:

Deep Fried Oreos Recipe

1. Combine Oreos mix and water in a large bowl; stir well with whisk.

2. Meanwhile, place dark chocolate in a small microwaveable bowl; microwave on high for 30 seconds or just until melted, stirring after 15 seconds. Insert toothpick into the side of an Oreo cookie. Holding chocolate in place, twist and remove cookie from batter; carefully insert chocolate end of cookie into melted chocolate to coat completely. Shake off excess coating, then cover the cookie with sprinkles or colored sugar. Repeat with remaining cookies and melted chocolate.

3. Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

4. Dip each candy-coated wafer halfway into the reserved mixture; shake off excess, then dredge through powdered sugar mixture (shaking off excess). Place on waxed paper–lined baking sheet to set for 10 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate 5 minutes to speed up the process slightly if desired.

5. Deep-fry Oreos, 2 or 3 at a time, in hot oil until crisp and lightly browned, about 10 seconds. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain on paper towels, turning cookies over once during the draining process (cookies will not be crispy upon cooling).

6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
